Why people choose it

What PuroStone gets you

Nothing to seal, nothing to scrub

The manufacturer describes PuroStone as non-porous. Soap scum and mildew have nowhere to get a grip, and there's no grout field to re-seal every couple of years.

A real stone texture

Matte finish with depth and veining, not a glossy plastic sheet. It also holds warmth better than tile, which you'll notice on a January morning.

Healthier air, certified

GREENGUARD certified for low chemical emissions, per the manufacturer. It resists stains, scratches, heat, mold, and bacteria.

Fast, clean install

Large panels go up in a day on most showers and tub surrounds, over a properly waterproofed wall. Sealed joints at corners and the base transition.

About waterproofing, honestly. A panel face is only part of the story. What keeps a shower dry for twenty years is the sealed joints, corners, and base transition, and what's behind the wall. That's on us, and it's why we never set PuroStone over greenboard. How we build →

Where it fits

Showers, tub surrounds, and walk-in tubs

PuroStone works over a low-barrier shower base, a standard acrylic base, a tiled Schluter pan, or above any of our walk-in tubs. Pair it with a Delta handheld on a slide bar and a fold-down seat for a shower that's as easy to use as it is to clean.

Pricing lands between our composite and real-tile tiers; the exact number depends on wall height and the base underneath. See shower tiers →

Questions

PuroStone FAQ

Is PuroStone real stone?

No. It's a solid-surface material engineered to look like stone, with a matte finish and texture. Unlike real stone it's non-porous, so it doesn't need sealing and doesn't absorb water or soap scum.

How do I clean it?

Mild soap and warm water with a soft cloth, per the manufacturer. No sealers. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners; we'll leave you the manufacturer's care sheet.

What's the warranty?

The manufacturer provides a Lifetime Limited Warranty on PuroStone panels. CertiPro adds a separate written workmanship warranty on the installation. Both go in your quote.

Does it work with a walk-in tub?

Yes. PuroStone is one of the most common surrounds we install above walk-in tubs, because the tub surround is where cleaning matters most.
